Felting: An Ornament a Day Recap

If you’ve been following me on social media for a while, you know that I make a lot of felted pieces. There are a few posts on this blog about some of the things I’ve made, but to see the majority of my projects, follow instagram.com/chelsiebrady.studio and instagram.com/puddypaddesigns as well as facebook.com/puddypaddesigns.

Last year, in 2020, I decided to make an ornament every day in November. The theme I chose last year was “My Kids’ Favorite Books.” I have five kids, so I had each of them choose their favorite 6 books. There was a little bit of overlap, but it was not difficult to come up with 30 different books.

I am doing An Ornament a Day this year, too, with a completely new theme. I will share that theme at the end of this post. Before I do, though, I wanted to show you each ornament from last year. The captions under the images will include the title/ author of the book. Click on the link to find the book on Amazon. (affiliate

Whew! That was a lot of work, but so satisfying! There are only a few days left in October and then the new An Ornament a Day project will begin. This year’s theme is a little bit unconventional, but it should be really fun!

2021 An Ornament a Day theme: Silly Holidays

This year, I am hoping you will join in the fun. I will be doing some giveaways and offering some free PDFs throughout the project. I will post the daily themes on the Sunday of each week, so that you can think about what ornament (or other craft project) you will do, and begin gathering supplies. Some of my ornaments will also come with a tutorial and possibly a kit to make your own! It should be a month filled with creativity and inspiration.

The first silly holiday that will kick off the challenge is January 4th: National Spaghetti Day.

So, be thinking about what you can do to fit with that theme. Tag me on social media: Instagram @chelsiebrady.studio; Facebook @puddypaddesigns. Alternatively, you can email me your projects: chelsiebradystudio@gmail.com. I would LOVE to share your work on my social media accounts and on my website.

I can’t wait to get started!
