Lately, I have been trying my hand at painting loose, somewhat abstract, florals.

Although this style of painting seems very simple, there is a learning curve in allowing the paint to flow. I often find myself overworking the painting, which results in a muddy color or unpleasant texture.

Watercolor painting has always been so inspiriting to me. I especially love the more translucent, organic, and flowy paintings.

I am hoping to complete a large series of watercolor florals to really hone my skills.
