Free Pattern Friday: Crown Prop

I recently designed this cute crown prop for a newborn photo shoot I was doing.  I love me a little baby wearing a crown!  It is perfect for a little prince or princess.DSC_0277eWell, then, my own little princess was turning one.  I wanted to do her pictures very simply, with soft pinks and golds.  I NEEDED a crown for her (even though she refused to keep it on longer than a second- unless there was cake in front of her face).  It was super easy to simply add stitches to the starting chain to create a larger crown.

DSC_0312eIt is sweet and delicate and adds the perfect royal touch to a photo.  The pattern includes directions on how to stiffen your crown, so that it holds the shape.

DSC_0089It uses crochet thread and a 2.25 mm hook.  It can be a little tricky to work with such small stitches, but worth it in the end.  You could even use larger hooks and yarn to make a bigger crown.

You can find the pattern here, in my Ravelry shop.  I would LOVE to see your finished crown.  “Hook it” on ravelry and/or post it on my facebook page.
