I recently designed this cute crown prop for a newborn photo shoot I was doing. I love me a little baby wearing a crown! It is perfect for a little prince or princess.Well, then, my own little princess was turning one. I wanted to do her pictures very simply, with soft pinks and golds. I NEEDED a crown for her (even though she refused to keep it on longer than a second- unless there was cake in front of her face). It was super easy to simply add stitches to the starting chain to create a larger crown.
It is sweet and delicate and adds the perfect royal touch to a photo. The pattern includes directions on how to stiffen your crown, so that it holds the shape.
You can also add pearls or other beads to up the glam factor.
It uses crochet thread and a 2.25 mm hook. It can be a little tricky to work with such small stitches, but worth it in the end. You could even use larger hooks and yarn to make a bigger crown.
You can find the pattern here, in my Ravelry shop. I would LOVE to see your finished crown. “Hook it” on ravelry and/or post it on my facebook page.
