The babies don’t really NEED any more clothes, but it’s kind of addicting making cute new things for them. 

I saw this orange fabric on the clearance stack at Craft Warehouse ($2.50/ yd!) and couldn’t pass up getting a yard of it. 

I think it makes perfectly cute little kid shorts.  I believe I will make a pair for the other two boys, too.  For Liam’s, I’ll be sure to add some pockets. 

I might make myself some orange shorts, too… why not? 

I used metallic orange thread, which adds just a little something, and velcro closure for easy on and off. 

I used a self-drafted pattern, with flat front and working fly.  The velcro could easily be changed to a button… you could add a zipper… pockets… make them longer to be pants or shorter to be, well… shorter.  Very versatile, I tell you! 🙂
