I was looking through my iPhone pictures and realized that I have some that I can post about to, at least, get them shown. One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to facebook less and blog more. I post lots of pictures on facebook and not many on here, where they are more easily accessed and archived. I haven’t done so well on that resolution so far, obviously. I think I might set a certain time each week to get back into the rhythm of blogging. So, plan on seeing at least one post a week. (hopefully) Monday morning. That sounds like a good time to post- I can write about the weekend and my projects from the previous week. Okay, it’s done. Thanks for helping me talk it out. Monday morning. Every Monday morning. I’ll do it. 🙂
Starting now. Here are just some pictures I found on my iPhone that haven’t been posted. Projects I’ve done in the past several weeks/ months. They’re all from the phone, so the quality’s not great, but… here we go.
I made a wall hanging for my dining room.
Crocheted owl hat for a friend’s new baby.
Thanksgiving decorations. My sister-in-law and her family came to town and we cooked a yummy meal and enjoyed the company.
Christmas stockings. These are Mike’s and mine.
These are the kids’: Liam, Lucas, Jude
We did a few Christmas crafts this holiday season. This little reindeer was one of my favorites. He is made from pine cones, sticks, leaves, and a sparkly red pipe cleaner for the nose.
Liam has been liking the pigeon books lately and I thought he’d enjoy a pigeon stuffed toy. I ended up sending this particular one to my sister-in-law’s kids because they, too, have been into the books. I think he turned out pretty cute.
I cut out a bunch of snowflakes for Sandy Hook.
I’ve done lots of random sewing projects. This was a little jacket I designed and sewed for a friend’s baby shower gift.
My babies turned one! So we baked…
Jude is wearing a t shirt I made when Liam turned one. I used one of my husband’s old U2 shirts. I guess they have an album named One? Anyway, I thought it made a cute shirt for my little one year old back then.
This is his shirt I made using fabrics from my stash. I just love that silly grin. Check out those chicklet teeth. I love them!
And here’s Luke’s birthday shirt. I’ve been dressing Jude in blue and Luke in orange ever since they were tiny babies. It just seems right, I guess. Luke has such bright, beautiful eyes. And look at those lashes!
Some baby Toms
Some pendulum paintings
Some sewing for myself! I found a couple of skirt patterns on Burdastyle that I tried. The first one I made (Marie) was probably two sizes too big and I used fabric that didn’t work so well for the style of skirt. This one, however, is adorable. It is the Kasia and I will be making more. I wore it to church last Sunday and got a lot of compliments. I don’t normally sew for myself because, I don’t know… it scares me. This was a happy project, though. 🙂
A month late, we celebrated the babies’ birthday this weekend. I made the cake toppers
Some cute conductor hats for all the kids
And we had a fun party, themed zoo train. We made masks, played pin the tail on the elephant, ate lots of food, sang Happy Birthday to my crazy babies, and ate cake.
Okay. I am going to try very hard to stay up to date, so I don’t have to do these catch-up posts anymore. I have a commissioned painting I will be starting and lots of other sewing, crochet, and painting projects. Stay tuned. 🙂
