Halloween costumes

Liam decided, like 6 months ago, that he wanted to be a fruit bat for Halloween. He wouldn’t even entertain a different idea.

I wanted to do something as a family again, like last year, but I didn’t want to be a family of fruit bats.  So, Liam’s a silly fruit bat and the babies are a lamb and a lion.

I made all their jammies out of fleece and other sweatshirt material.  I felt like Dr. Frankenstein ripping up all those old clothes to make new things.

The orange on Jude’s costume is from an old sweatshirt, the zipper on Liam’s shirt is from a pair of gray pants.  Most of the fleece I got for super cheap at Joann’s a few weeks ago.

I crocheted the babies’ hats.  That lion hat is my favorite piece, I think!  I love it!  It is so fitting for Juder to be a lion, too, because he crawls (walks!!) around the house growling at everyone.  And, my little snuggly Luke makes a perfectly sweet lamb.

Maybe next year we’ll have family costumes.  But, for this year… this is the best we can do.  I want to squish all their little cheeks!  I love my boys!
